Accreditation and Partners

CANParent’s vision for effective parenting is that there will be no stigma attached to parents seeking help to strengthen their parenting skills in order to support children. They are working towards a vibrant market for parenting education driven by parents’ demand for high quality products and services. To facilitate this, a consortium of Parenting UK, part of Family Lives, Family and Childcare Trust, Ecorys UK and the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships have developed a UK wide ‘Quality Mark’ for parenting classes.

The CANparent Quality Mark is awarded to organisations who are developing or delivering universal parenting classes. During the application process, organisations must specify what parenting classes they are delivering which they want to be assessed for the quality mark. In order to achieve the CANparent Quality Mark, organisations must demonstrate that they have met all the indicators across all four quality elements.

The CANparent Quality Mark is the only quality standard that has been developed for the parenting sector, by the parenting sector.

At Approachable Parenting, we are committed to the work that CANParent is doing around developing high quality parenting services and that is why we have obtained the Quality Mark for our 4-11 Years parenting course andwe are committed to obtaining this for our other courses.

Approachable Parenting are partnered with Islamic Relief to help deliver our parenting course
